John Knud Hansen

Dr. Knud-Hansen has been practicing urology in Easton for 20 years. He is a graduate of Yale University and the University of Central Del Caribe School of Medicine. He completed an internship and residency in general surgery and a residency in urology at the University of Maryland Medical Center.

He also completed a two-year fellowship in general surgery and surgical research at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore. He is board certified by the American Board of Urology and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. As one of the most experienced urologists on the Eastern Shore, Dr. Knud-Hansen has a wide range of expertise including the treatment of cancer, kidney stones, erectile dysfunction and incontinence. He also performs basic pediatric urologic surgery and consults with pediatricians whose young patients are experiencing urological medical conditions.

Dr. Runz practices all aspects of adult urology with special interest in minimally invasive approaches in the treatment of urologic malignancy. His special interests include da Vinci prostatectomy for prostate cancer and laparoscopy to treat kidney tumors. In addition, he performs numerous minimally invasive endoscopic treatments for kidney stones, treats urinary symptoms from enlarging prostates (BPH), and corrects female urinary incontinence.

He completed his Urology residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in 1991. Dr. Foley was certified by the American Board of Urology in 1994 and re-certified in 2002. Dr. Foley's true passion is clinical medicine and patient care. He practices general urology with special interest in prostate cancer, renal and prostate cryosurgery, laparoscopy, erectile dysfunction, BPH, androgen decline in the aging male, and female urinary incontinence.
